According to a probable cause affidavit, Ryan Matthew Bohl, 21, met the victim on gay.com, where the boy – who was “curious about his sexuality” – had created a profile that stated he was 18 years old. It states that he and Bohl began an online conversation. The boy told police he let Bohl know he was only 12 years old before they agreed to meet, although Bohl told police he didn’t know until after their first meeting, the affidavit states.

It also states that after school in mid-2015 Bohl picked up the victim at the Zionsville McDonalds before driving to the Union-Lutheran Cemetary in north Zionsville, where they allegedly “talked, kissed and performed oral sex on each other.” It states that a second incident occurred when the victim snuck away from home to meet Bohl, who took the boy to Bohl’s parents’ house.

A third incident allegedly occurred about six months later, when the boy snuck away from home again to meet Bohl at his apartment.

The Boone County Sheriff’s Office arrested Bohl, 21, in early August. He was released after posting $25,000 at the Boone County Jail. A jury trial is scheduled for Nov. 27.
