Robert C Plew, 91, Noblesville, died Dec. 26 at Riverview Health. He was born May 12, 1926, to Haskell Clifford and Geneva Marjorie (Daggy) Plew in Indianapolis.

Bob had been a biomedical technician at Community Hospital East in Indianapolis, where he had enjoyed working for 25 years. He left high school to enter the military and proudly served his country during World War II with the U.S. Navy. He loved volunteering on the State Fair train and was the second of five generations who loved the family tradition of attending the Indy 500. His legacy was a great sense of humor, and he brought laughter to everyone who knew him.

He is survived by his wife, Rosemary Plew, whom he married in June 1951, children Susan (Brian) Deckert, James Robert (Mary) Plew and Daniel Plew, sister Judith Quillen, grandchildren Tyler, Jenna, Sarah, James and Ellen Plew, great-grandchild Roman Plew and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, sister Joan Roettger preceded him in death.
