Brewmaster and owner Mike Miller is teaming with Rusted Silo Brewery, opening soon in Lizton, to sell smoked meats and southern barbecue. Food from other establishments has always been welcome at Noble Order, but Miller said many customers want to order food and drink in the same location.

“It’s part of the evolution of being in any particular location. We see a strong need for food,” Miller said. “We weren’t sure initially when we came in how that landscape would look.”

Lunch options will include pulled pork, Memphis-style ribs, coleslaw and salads. In the evening, specialty wings will be added. Food is expected to be available beginning April 1.

“We want to service a need that could be fulfilled here in Zionsville with the particular food we’re going to serve and that quick-counter service,” Miller said.

He said the food isn’t menu-driven. Items will be available to grab at the counter.

“We just want to start very simple, get it going, and then we’ll continue to add,” Miller said.

Noble Order already has an established relationship with Rusted Silo, serving its beers on tap along beers from other local breweries.

Because food will be prepared at Rusted Silo’s location and served by quick-counter service in Zionsville, Miller wants the Board of Health to still allow dogs at Noble Order.

Families will soon be welcome.

“We feel like, again, that’s a need that we’re not getting,” Miller said. “We feel like we’re missing that element in Zionsville.”

To accommodate food and families, Miller said two counters have been added, along with a moveable division to separate the bar from the rest of the establishment. He also is changing some of the tables and adding a jukebox and games.

“Let’s make this so everybody can enjoy it,” Miller said.
