St. George Orthodox Church in Fishers will hold a Ladies Extravaganza and Spa Night May 10 to raise money for Ascent 121, a local organization that provides advocacy and recovery services for teen survivors. It also raises money and awareness about the sex-trafficking industry.

“We had a speaker come to our church, and it was so eye-opening to what is going on right here even in Hamilton County,” parishioner Liza Nahas said. “We decided we wanted to see what we could do.”

The church will host a spa night from 5 to 8 p.m. May 10 at the church, 10748 E. 116th St. Admission is $25.

“We have several nail technicians who are coming who will be offering services like mini manicures,” Nahas said. “We have several massage therapists who will be here to offer chair massages. We have at least three makeup artists and a skincare specialist who will be on hand to offer makeup and skincare tips.”

Guests also can tour the church and shop more than 30 vendors.

“We have a little bit of everything really,” Nahas said. “Jewelry, art, handicrafts, vendors that are very local. It’s a really unique mix of vendors.”

Ascent 121 also will be on hand to share information.

“We’ll have a small station with little postcards for people to write brief messages of encouragement or hope to these girls and their caregivers,” Nahas said.
