Carmel will observe the National Day of Prayer with a service from noon to 1 p.m. in the Gazebo north of City Hall, 1 Civic Square.
People of various faiths will gather for a time of prayer and reading of Scripture. If it rains, the event will be moved into the City Council chambers.
