The Zionsville Chamber of Commerce has named Lin Moormann as its next Executive Director, replacing Tracy Phillips, who tendered her resignation in July.

Moormann started at the chamber Oct. 18 and has over ten years of experience in the commerce, tourism and marketing fields. Most recently, she was the membership development manager at the Indiana Chamber of Commerce and also has worked for Visit Indy and Tour Indiana.

“I am thrilled to be joining this extraordinary team and feel privileged to have the opportunity to represent and work alongside businesses in this great community,” Moormann said.

Zionsville Chamber Board President Andrew Manna said that with her Indiana Chamber experience, Moormann understands the needs of businesses, sole-proprietors to corporations.

“Her knowledge in membership management will provide Zionsville Chamber stakeholders with invaluable expertise,” Manna said. “We look forward to her diving in with our full schedule of upcoming events.”

Phillips committed to stay with the chamber as a consultant until Christmas in the Village was over, to provide whatever guidance and support necessary.

“I’m so grateful to have Tracy be able to do that,” Moormann said. “It will get me up and running so much sooner.”

Moormann was chosen from the many applicants for her expertise in different facets of business development, marketing, strategic planning, client relationship management and event planning.

On Oct. 19, Moormann’s second day on the job, she said she was settling in to the new role.

“The first thing is getting to know the business community in Zionsville and all the different pieces that go along with that,” Moormann said. “I look forward to learning more about the community.”
