Sweet M’s Boutique held a grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony Nov. 3 at its new Marketplace at Anson location, 6659 Whitestown Pkwy. in Whitestown.
The women’s and girls clothing and accessories boutique is the third location for owner and Avon resident Stacy Maxwell.
“We started online in November 2015, and in April 2016 we opened our first location in Plainfield,” she said. “We expanded into the Carmel area in June 2017.”
Maxwell was interested in expanding to Whitestown or Zionsville, but had difficulty finding a storefront.
“When this became available, we knew it was time to open our third location,” she said.
She felt the area was growing rapidly but didn’t have much in the way of shopping.
“I’ve heard great things about the community,” Maxwell said. “Everybody has been so welcoming. It just has always seemed like a great area.”
Each location has the same look and offers many of the same merchandise.
“(The stores) won’t always have the same items, but we try to keep it pretty similar,” Maxwell said.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony began at 9 a.m. and the store opened at 10 a.m. The first 25 people in line received a $25 gift card. Sweet M’s also offered 20 percent off all items at all three locations.
“The grand opening was amazing,” Maxwell said. “We had about 75 people lined up before we opened, and we were busy all day with shoppers. It feels great to finally be open.”
