Trash delay and tree disposal for Noblesville residents

Because of the Christmas and New Year’s Day holiday falling on a Tuesday, there will be a single-day delay during trash collection for the next two weeks if your trash/recycling is picked up on Tuesday through Friday.

Republic Services employees will not be working New Year’s Day and will work Wednesday through Saturday through Jan. 5. Noblesville residents’ regular trash and recycling pick-up schedule the weeks of Christmas and New Year’s will be delayed one day after the holiday. For instance, if your usual pickup day is Wednesday, it will be Thursday due to the holidays.

If your trash is collected on Mondays, your schedule will not be altered by the holiday.

In addition, Republic Services will collect Christmas trees through Jan. 11. Trees will be collected on the same day and in the same location as residents’ trash/recycle collection. Trees must be cut into sections of no more than four feet per section and placed inside the trash cart so the automated arm of the trucks will be able to place them in the truck. Trees lying on the ground beside trash containers will not be collected.
