The Zionsville Cultural District Concert Series at Lincoln Park offers a bit everything, from jazz to country to 1950s and ‘60s rock ‘n roll.
“We’re keeping it fresh and keeping it appealing to everybody,” said Carla Howie, ZCD board of directors president. “Looking at the lineup, it’s very diverse. If there is a favorite, we try to bring them back.”
One favorite is Midtown Mad Men, who will perform July 3. It is the only group returning from the 2018 schedule.
“They are returning performers from last year and have a dynamic, energetic ‘50s and ‘60s theme,” said Casey Maish, who does publicity for Zionsville Cultural District. “They are a lot of fun and we are excited to welcome them back.”
The Lincoln Park series, in its 28th year, starts June 5 with the Kyle Bledsoe Trio and concludes July 31 with Zionsville’s Got Talent.
“It’s open to anyone who wants to compete,” Howie said.
The shows start at 7 p.m., with Mr. Daniel, a children’s entertainer, performing at 6:30 p.m.
The schedule is as follows: June 5, Kyle Bledsoe Trio; June 12, Beautiful Day (a U2 tribute band); June 19, ByBye; June 26, The Hawkeyes; July 3, Midtown Mad Men; July 10, Nick Dittmeier & The Sawdusters; July 17, Katie Pederson; July 24, Fine Lines; and July 31, Zionsville’s Got Talent.
