Because of the change of this year’s July 4 festival to Forest Park from the Noblesville High School campus, parking has caused some confusion for those looking to plan out their holiday.

The City of Noblesville and Noblesville Fourth of July committee is working to educate people before the event, releasing parking and festival maps.

Several free shuttles will be running to and from Forest Park from offsite parking.

THE EAST ROUTE

Stops on the East Route include parking lots at North Elementary (440 N. 10th St.), Ivy Tech (300 N. 17th St.), First United Methodist Church (2051 Monument St.) and the intersection of Evans and 10th streets. This trolley will drop off riders near the main stage at the north entrance of Forest Park, near Field Drive.

THE SOUTH ROUTE

Stops on the South Route include Riverview Health (395 Westfield Rd.), the Riverview Health overflow lot (east of the hospital’s campus at the Ind. 19/32/38 intersection), and the Hamilton County Government employee lot (off Fifth and Conner streets). This trolley will drop off riders near the Kids Zone at the south entrance of Forest Park.

HANDICAP PARKING

Parking on Ind. 19/Cicero Road will be specifically designated as handicap parking spaces. Proper tags must be displayed to park in this area while spaces are available.

All trolleys will run continuously throughout the festival. At the end of the fireworks show, Noblesville Schools’ buses will be added to the Easte and South routes to move guests out of the park at a faster pace.

The festival will be open from 4 to 10 p.m. The fireworks show will begin at 10 p.m., and fireworks will be launched from Forest Park Golf Course. Forest Park Aquatic Center and parking will be open for normal business. Noblesville High School and East Middle School parking lots are closed for repaving and reconstruction. Guests of the festival will not be able to park at either site.

Other various city parking lots, street parking, the Noblesville Moose Lodge and Federal Hill Commons can be used for those who can walk to the festival. Beginning at 4 p.m., Ind. 19 from Field Drive to Logan Street will be closed for safe pedestrian travel to and from the festival.

No parking is allowed in Forest Park. Beginning at noon, vehicles in the park will be towed away at the owner’s expense. This rule does not apply to customers of Forest Park Aquatic Center.
