I have lived here since 1996. My boys have marched in the CarmelFest parade as Carmel High School members and as Boy Scouts.
I have to say I am embarrassed that some of my neighbors feel entitled to stake out “their spot.” Even more so to say I think we might’ve done it, too.
It has gotten way out of hand.
On the other hand, let’s turn it into a revenue opportunity and sell tickets. Every parade marcher gets six tickets for free, and everybody else ponies up cash.
We can pay down the debt.
