Anker is chairman of Carmel-based The Anker Consulting Group where he serves as an advisor and owner for several small business start-ups in the retail, wholesale distribution, media, technology and service industries.

Anker’s varied business interests include CleanSlate, a leader in computer software and services, SWAN Software Solutions, a Midwestern-based online help desk (CrossConfirm), TAP Properties and The Anker Receivership Group, LLC. He is also the associate editor and founding partner of Current Publishing, LLC, which include several local newspapers.

“Perhaps never before has the role of Ivy Tech Community College been more critical,” Anker said. “Thousands of Hoosier jobs go unfilled because of a lack of credentialed and degreed employees to fill them. And many thousands of Hoosiers suffer from being under or unemployed because of a lack of access to the required education. The College is uniquely positioned to fill these gaps both for students and employers.”

Anker replaced Paula Hughes-Schuh as the Chair after she served in that role for two years. Hughes-Schuh who serves as the CEO for YWCA Northeast Indiana remains on the Board of Trustees.
