The Town of Zionsville will close town facilities beginning at 5 p.m. tonight.

No meetings will be held at town facilities through at least April 6, according to a news release. It is possible facilities will be closed beyond April 6. The move comes in response to the new coronavirus.

To prevent the spread of COVID-19, the disease stemming from the new coronavirus, the Town of Zionsville is urging people to practice social distancing.

Zionsville Mayor Emily Styron stated, “The health and safety of our community is the Town’s number one priority. I want to protect our residents, our employees and our employees’ loved ones. Please follow CDC guidelines of social distancing during this time and protect our most vulnerable population and minimize the public health risks associated with COVID-19.

Information for the public as to how they may be impacted by the Town of Zionsville closures will be shared on the town’s website under Town News at zionsville-in.gov.
