The Indiana State Dept. of Health today announced 1,096 additional Hoosiers have been diagnosed with COVID-19, bringing to 79,676 the total number of Indiana residents known to have the new coronavirus, following corrections to the previous day’s total.
A total of 2,921 Hoosiers have died from COVID-19, an increase of 15 since yesterday. Another 207 probable deaths have been reported based on clinical diagnoses in patients for whom no positive test is on record. Deaths are reported based on when data is received by the ISDH and occurred over multiple days.
As of today, more than 35 percent of ICU beds and nearly 81 percent of ventilators are available across the state.
To date, 897,615 tests have been reported to the ISDH, up from 886,489 on Friday.
