One suspect is in custody and another remains at large after a police chase Feb. 3 in Carmel.
At approximately 2:38 a.m. Carmel police officers responded to a break-in alarm at the Sprint/T-Mobile store at 890 E. 116th St. Police said as they responded they saw a suspicious person looking into the windows of Pinnacle Firearms at 589 W. Carmel Dr. The person ran to a car parked nearby and fled the scene.
Police attempted to stop the vehicle, but the driver continued to flee before exiting the car near E. 116th Street and Eden Estates Drive, where two suspects fled on foot.
Officers pursued and caught an armed juvenile, who has been charged with unlawful possession of a firearm and resisting law enforcement.
The other suspect escaped despite police using a K9 and drones in their search.
