Several workshops have been scheduled to instruct local organizations about Hamilton County’s 2023 bicentennial celebration.
Workshops will include information on how to produce a program during the bicentennial; how to become an officially sanctioned event; and how to apply for a micro-grant to support events in 2023, among other items.
Workshops are from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Jan. 25 at Hamilton North Public Library, 209 W. Brinton St., Cicero; 10 to 11:30 a.m. Feb. 26 at Conner Prairie 13400 Allisonville Rd., Fishers; and a virtual workshop from 1 to 2:30 p.m. March 16.
The program is for arts organizations, schools, places of worship that offer public programs, history organizations or any entity interested in hosting a public event during 2023 in support of the bicentennial celebration.
Community stakeholders and potential program partners will share ideas and answer questions. Stakeholders include libraries, township officials, arts organizations, Bicentennial Commission members and schools, among others.
