On Saturday, Hunter Smith will hold a free concert with his band, The Hunter Smith Band, at Clay Middle School Auditorium at 6:30 p.m. Smith, who was a punter with the Colts for 10 seasons and is now a musician, will play songs from his new album, Green. Smith has also co-authored a book titled, “The Jersey Effect, Beyond the World Championship,” which includes many life lessons and several profiles and stories of coaches and teammates.

The Saturday concert will be held in memory of Brett Finbloom to benefit Promising Futures, a non-profit organization in Central Indiana with a mission to “provide resources to develop healthy relationships and create positive changes for youth and families.” Finbloom, a 2012 graduate of Carmel High School, died of alcohol poisoning on Aug. 5, and his parents, Norm and Dawn, have been working tirelessly since that time to educate the community on the dangers of underaged drinking.

This concert is being sponsored by Connection Church of Carmel and seats can be reserved at www.connectionchurchofcarmel.org.
