Doris Jean McCarty, 74, of Noblesville died July 13, 2014 at her residence. Born Dec. 5, 1939 in Indianapolis, she was the daughter of Charles and Betty (Wheeler) Lewis.
She retired in 1994 from Sweeney Commercial Maintenance after 15 years of service. She attended Faith Apostolic Church in Carmel. She loved to shop, and was a great mother and grandmother.
Survivors include her husband, Joe McCarty; children, James Curry, Joe (Diann) McCarty Jr., Kathy Feltner (Tom Robinette, Sr.), Jeff (Rita) McCarty and Kristi Arredondo; siblings, Bud Lewis, Carol Wright, Jim Lewis and Kenny Lewis; 14 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Dave Lewis.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. July 18 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home, 1150 Logan St., Noblesville. Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. July 17 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Crownland Cemetery in Noblesville.
