The Gleaning Garden is growing

Here’s another interesting update. Back in March, I wrote about a group of activists who started a local garden near the Monon Square shopping plaza. They were motivated to start the garden to supply fresh and organic food to local charities or families. They were inspired by their own experience when money was tight and they switched to eating organic high quality foods. They also wanted to grow deeper in their Christian faith with other growers using this community asset.

When I first wrote the story, the ground was cold and stiff. I ran into Andrew Fritz at an event and he told me things were going well, but recently I saw it with my own eyes and I was impressed. Here are some photos:
