A home in the 900 block of N. US 421 suffered as much as $100,000 in damage after a fire blazed through its second story shortly before 1 p.m. Aug. 25.

The Zionsville Fire Dept. arrived on the scene at 12:56 p.m. and put out the fire in approximately 40 minutes. Crews used “an aggressive interior attack” to bring the fire under control, according to a press release. Officials shut down US 421 so firefighters could use a ladder truck to access the roof for ventilation.

No one was home at the time of the fire, and no injuries have been reported. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
