Diana L. Cordray, 72, of Carmel, passed away Aug. 18. She was born Jan. 26, 1945, to Rex and Dorothy Dendinger, in Evansville.

Diana was a graduate of I.U. Bloomington and went on to serve as the clerk treasurer for the City of Carmel from 1996 until 2015. She was a member of the Indiana Association of Cities and Towns, and served on their Legislative Committee, Board of Directors, and as President. She also was appointed to head the Indiana Real Estate Commission, was a chairwoman of the Indiana League of Municipal Clerks and Clerk Treasurers legislative committee, and served on the Governor’s Commission on Physical Fitness and Sport.

Diana was preceded in death by her parents, Rex and Dorothy Dendinger; and son, Ryan Jones. She is survived by her children, Douglas (Kathy) Jones and Jennifer Jones; grandchildren, Kayla Jones, Matthew Jones, Hannah March, Joshua March, and Elijah Gottman.

The family will greet friends from 2 until 6 p.m. at Indiana Funeral Care, 8151 Allisonville Rd, Indianapolis. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Aug. 28 at Mt. Pleasant Christion Church, 381 N. Bluff Rd, Greenwood, with visitation from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
