Children balanced on a beam, walked like puppies and pretended to climb mountains at the Hussey-Mayfield Memorial Public Library’s Minds-in-Motion maze at the end of December. The maze was an obstacle course to keep children active in the cold weather. “It helps with focus and coordination and balance, which extends to learning ability to read and write,” librarian Laura Gandstadt said.
