Encore Sotheby’s settles into new building, announces 2 tenants

Long before it was built, Encore Sotheby’s International Realty principal Mark Zukerman wanted the company’s new central Indiana headquarters to be “instantly recognizable.”

Now that the building at 12411 N. Pennsylvania St. is complete, Zukerman believes several features – from the architecture to a rooftop terrace – make it just that.

“We wanted to be in a location that would be timeless,” Zukerman said. “The Meridian or Illinois or Pennsylvania Street corridors were very appealing to us, and we were very fortunate to be able to put this at what would be the point at the beginning of the Old Meridian and Pennsylvania Street corridor.”

After nearly a year of construction, the building’s first two tenants – boutique real estate firm Encore Sotheby’s and private air travel company Jet Linx – moved in to their new offices in November 2017, and Loan Depot and Near North Title Company are expected to open on the first floor May 15 and June 1, respectively.

Zukerman said he’s hoping a café or small restaurant will fill the remaining 1,200 square feet on the first floor. The 6,900-square-foot second floor is unoccupied for now.

“The building demands more of a higher-end or luxury-type tenancy, so we’re looking for the right fit,” Zukerman said. “As owner-occupiers of the building we can be a little bit more selective.”
