More than 75,000 Hoosiers have been diagnosed with COVID-19

The Indiana State Dept. of Health today announced 884 additional Hoosiers have been diagnosed with COVID-19, bringing to 75,862 the total number of Indiana residents known to have the new coronavirus, following corrections to the previous day.

A total of 2,863 Hoosiers have died from COVID-19, an increase of 25 since yesterday. Another 206 probable deaths have been reported based on clinical diagnoses in patients for whom no positive test is on record. Deaths are reported based on when data is received by the ISDH and occurred over multiple days.

As of today, nearly 37 percent of ICU beds and nearly 82 percent of ventilators are available across the state.

To date, 861,655 tests for unique individuals have been reported to the ISDH, up from 852,111 Monday.
